Mrs. Cleavie Ruth Dulaney, 74, of Petersburg, died Friday evening, June 29, 2007, at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg. Mrs. Dulaney, a native of Pocahontas, Virginia, was a retired operator for Allied Chemical Corporation. She was preceded in death by her parents, Crockett C. and Lillie Mae Crouse Swim and her husband, Jack Dulaney. She is survived by three sons, Delbert A. Hanchock of Hopewell, Joseph D. Hanchock of Prince George, and Donald E. Hanchock, of Princeton, West Virginia; and two daughters, Vickie L. Johnson of Chester, VA and Brenda G. Dykes of Annapolis, Maryland; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild and two sisters, Mrs. Phillip Dawson (Dorothy) of Portsmouth, VA and Evelyn McBride of PA.

The family will receive friends Monday, July 2, 2007, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at 1 p.m. with The Rev. Dwayne Walker, pastor of First Assembly of God, Petersburg, officiating. Burial will be in City Point National Cemetery, Hopewell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
