Clifford Sr. Crofford

Col. (Ret) Clifford Deal Crofford, Sr. received his heavenly reward on May 11, 2007. He was born in Crockett, Texas the son of the late Marvin Washington Crofford and Emma Wedemeyer Crofford. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jean H. Crofford; children, Cynthia Phillips and husband, CW4 (Ret) Charles Phillips, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC and their children, Michelle and Stephanie; Kristine Pruitt and husband, Edward of Raleigh, NC and their children, Austin and Grayson; Col Clifford Crofford, Jr. and wife, Irene of Newville, PA and their children, Caitlin, Lara and Daniel. Also his sisters, Mildred Chronister of Trinity, TX and Marvice Brewton of Porter Springs, TX. Col. Croffordâ??s 30 years of service in the U.S. Army included deployments to Europe, Korea, Philippines, and combat service in Vietnam. He retired as the Deputy Commander of the Defense Supply Center Richmond. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Monday, May 14, 2007 from 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service and burial with military honors will be held at the Fort Meyer Old Chapel in Arlington National Cemetery on July 25, 2007 at 1 pm.
