Clyde Willie Powers Sr

Clyde Willie Powers, Sr. 93, of Colonial Heights, VA passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac B. Powers and Annie Loftis Powers; his loving wife, Louise Millis Powers; daughters, Joyce Ann Powers and Kathy Powers Matthews; and his brothers, Charlie, Lawrence, Harold, McCoy, Isaac, Junius and Hinton. He is survived by his children, Clyde W. Powers, Jr. (Tama); and Vickie Eileen Powers; grandchildren, Jason Powers, Kelly Powers, Bryan Powers, Erik Jones, Jonathan Webber, Benjamin Cummings, and Gregory Cummings; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister Ruby Powers Good; brothers, Floyd Powers (Julia); and Perry Powers (Eugenia); as well as numerous extended family and friends. Clyde was a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at J.T. Morriss & Son Hopewell Chapel. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2021 in the chapel. Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be registered online at www.jtmorriss.com .
