Cody Trent

Cody Wayne Trent, 9, passed away on June 9, 2011. He was a student at Tidewater Academy and on the Mustang Team for Wakefield Little League. Cody was an avid outdoorsman who was a member of the Wakefield Community Hunt Club. Cody was a caring and giving child who in his last act of kindness and unselfishness was a â??Lifenet Heroâ?.
He is survived by his parents, Roger and Michelle Trent; his brother, Jonathan Dwayne Taylor; paternal grandparents, Larry and Yvonne Trent; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Marie Call; numerous great aunts and uncles, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends who include Terri Ardney Rosser, her husband, Jamie Clayton Rosser and their son, Chase Clayton Rosser, and â??Uncle Jamesâ? Yarborough. Cody was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Joseph Cecil Call, Jr.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Waverly Baptist Church with visitation following the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Childrenâ??s Hospital Foundation, 2924 Brook Rd., Richmond, VA 23220 or to Wakefield Baseball, c\o Paul Rogers, 1233 Southampton Rd., Wakefield, VA 23888.
