Colonel Walter Scott Schlotzhauer, Jr., U.S. Army (retired), 91, of Colonial Heights died Friday, December 3, 2004. He was born in Edmond, Oklahoma the son of the late Walter S. and Cora Connelly Schlotzhauer, Sr. Mr. Schlotzhauer served in World War II and received a WWII Valor Medal and the Croix de Guerre with Silver Gilt Star. He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Dunseath Schlotzhauer and is survived by his son James W. Schlotzhauer of Roswell, GA; three grandsons; and two great-grandchildren; brother, Elbert O. Schlotzhauer of Maryland. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 8 at 10 a.m. in the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son with a visitation one hour prior, beginning at 9 a.m. Interment with full military honors will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park. Condolences may be registered at
