Cornelia “Nena” H. Coleman Caskie, 67, of Richmond, VA, died Thursday, November 10, 2016. A native of Petersburg, VA, she was a graduate of Marymount High School in Richmond and Marymount Junior College in Arlington, VA. After touring Europe for one year with friends, she returned to the states and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Denver. She began her career with AT&T in San Francisco but later transferred to Washington D.C. to handle the account of the Joint Chiefs at The Pentagon. After Nena married and had two sons, she left AT&T and devoted her life to raising her sons. She was a lady of elegant style with an eye for fashion who enjoyed traveling and antiquing. Charming, charismatic, quick-witted, and gifted with an entertaining sense of humor, Nena could turn a room on its ear just walking in. She is survived by her sons, Ryan Maxwell Caskie and wife, Mercedes Samantha Caskie, and Tyler Coleman Caskie; father, Edward Caswell Coleman, Jr.; mother, Jean Long Coleman; siblings, Claudia Coleman Pachios, Edward Caswell Coleman, III, Patricia Aline Coleman, and Allen Thomas Long Coleman; grandson, James Frederick Caskie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 151 W. Washington Street, Petersburg, VA 23803. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the funeral.
