Costella Horning Hall

Costella “Stella” H. Hall, 83, of Chesterfield County, VA went to her heavenly home on Friday, July 20, 2018. Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest “FT” Hall; two sons, Daniel F. and David G. Hall, Sr.; a grandson, Christopher Parrish; her parents, James A. Horning, Sr. and Anna Rayoma Coleman; two sisters, Arnella Horning and Thelma Sheppardson; and a brother, Bennie Ray Horning. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, granny, great-granny and friend. Mrs. Hall is survived by her two daughters, Kathy Holt (Jeff) and Anna Weir (Jay); one son, Earnie Hall (Deidre); grandchildren, Daniel, Lillie, David, Rusty, Ralph, Kenneth, Forrest, Jeramiah, Jason, Johnathan, George and Dawn; a sister, Judith Mendoza (Carl); one brother, James “Jim” Horning, Jr.; 18 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Shirley and Jimmy Lampkin and Olivia Finn. Stella was a loyal member of Bellwood Pentecostal Holiness Church for 50 years, a member of the Tobacco Workers and Confectionary Bakers Union for 30 years and served as Union President for many years. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Rd., Chester, VA 23831.
