Craig A. Marsh, Jr., of Chester, VA, died January 10, 2019. Craig was born and raised in South Plainfield, NJ and moved to Chester, VA in 2004. He was the son of the late Craig and Jeanette Marsh. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the Colonial Heights American Legion and a Member of the Forty and Eight Club. He served in the Navy as a Radarman on the USS Charles A. Rhone. He was a former member of the South Plainfield Elks and Volunteer Fire Company, as well as the Petersburg Elks. Craig was an avid stamp collector, enjoyed spending time volunteering, fishing, listening to bluegrass, watching football, and with his wife. Mr. Marsh was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Raymond Marsh, and his sister Elizabeth Hompesch. He is survived by his wife Karen E. Marsh; daughter Theresa J. Manderski, her husband Richard Manderski, and grandchildren Caitlin and William, of Midlothian, Virginia; his step-sons Thomas Phelps, of Pulaski, Tennessee, James Phelps of Christiania, TN and Joseph Phelps of Keifer, Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren and his nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019, at the Colonial Heights American Legion, Post 284. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T.
