Curtis Joseph Lee

Curtis Joseph Lee, 95 of Hopewell, VA passed away, Wednesday, May 3, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Lee and Elva Clark; two wives, Irene Jones Lee, and Lucille Shelton Lee; a son, Nathan Curtis Lee; and sisters, Alma Brittle Barkman and Annie Belle Miller. He is survived by his daughter, Gloria Lee Gray (Joseph); a son, Joseph Haywood Lee (Akiko); granddaughters, Kimberly Gray Best, Michelle Simpson (DaRon), Irene, Nicole Lee (Bret Zavorski), Josephine Lee, Mallory DeStephano (Andrew); great grandchildren, Faith, Stone, Maddox, Katai; a sister, Peggy Jones; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Watson Lee; as well as numerous extended family and friends. Mr. Lee was a member of the Hopewell Church of the Brethren. He also served his country proudly during WWII in the United States Army. Mr. Lee then went on to work for over 30 years with the Virginia American Water Company before he retired. A graveside service will be held, 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2017 at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S. Prince George, VA 23805.
