CWO3 Retired John Henry Stawarz, 58, of Prince George Co., passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010 at his residence. He was the son of the late Henry and Teresa Ducat Stawarz. He served 20 years in the U.S. Army and retired in 1990. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patricia Hunt Stawarz; three sons, John Henry Stawarz, II and wife, Christine of Prince George Co., Stephen Samuel Stawarz of Blackstone and Kristopher George Stawarz and wife, Lori of Ft. Worth, TX; four grandchildren, Jon, Micah, Christopher, and Michaela Stawarz; one sister, Joan S. Williams and husband, Ted of Los Alamos, New Mexico. A memorial service will be conducted 4:00 pm Sunday, January 24, 2010 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be private in Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia, VA.
