Cyril Layfield

Cyril Carlton Layfield, 87, of Richmond, passed away Friday October 26, 2007. He was predeceased by his parents Henry A. & Katherine O. Dukes Layfield and his loving wife of 59 years Rebecca Allen Layfield, he was an accountant with the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles and retired after 20 years of faithful service. He leaves to cherish his memory, three nieces: Betty Jo Smith & her husband Robert of Clearwater Florida, Marsha Monaldi of Riverview, Florida, Susie Mincey & husband Paul of Chester, Virginia, three nephews: David McMullen & wife, Delores of Azele, Texas, Henry Hunt & wife Nell of Columbia, SC., Edward Layfield & wife, Linda of Virginia, and a sister-in-law Nancy Mendoza of Midlothian, Virginia. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday October 30, 2007 in Southlawn Memorial Park at 10:30 Am with Rev. Bill Davis of Bon Air United Methodist Church officiating, interment will follow.
