Dale Grimmer

Dale Davis Grimmer, 82, of Matoaca, widow of Sterling L. Grimmer, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2007. Born in Petersburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late John Maurice Davis, Sr. and Emma Brooks Davis.
She is survived by her children Kay Grimmer, Anne (Don) Temple, Bill (Loretta) Grimmer, and Peggy (Jack) Hayes. She leaves her grandchildren Katie (Danny) Garrison, Matt Roddenberry, Lauren Grimmer, and her 3 great grandchildren (Ryan, Emma, and Abby Garrison). Also surviving are her sister Margaret Leahman, brother JM (Barbara) Davis and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dale was a lifetime member of Elm Street Baptist Church, and held many positions including secretary for several decades. She was always willing to give of herself to anyone in need.
Visitation will be held at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral home in Petersburg, VA from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 15, 2007. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Friday, March 16, 2007. Burial will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
