Dallas "Skip" Charles Whipp

Dallas Charles Whipp “Super Skip”, 79, of Chester, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmo and Helen Holick Whipp; and two sisters, Leona Whipp Pattock and Judy Whipp Popynia. Dallas was a member of Chester Baptist Church, Chester Masonic Lodge # 94, the Richmond Scottish Rite, Acca Temple Shrine of Richmond, Chester Shrine, Chester Order of the Eastern Star # 121, and the American Legion Post # 284. He was a Past Worthy Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter and Past President of the Hopewell Shrine Club. He retired from Dominion Virginia Power in 2002. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ann Marie Penchick Whipp; son, Kevin M. Whipp and wife, Kim; two daughters, Deborah Cribb and husband, Daniel, and Rebecca Clements and husband, Brendon; seven grandchildren, Daniel M. Cribb Jr., James H. Whipp, Makalah A. Cribb, Tanner M. Clements, D. Reed Clements, Amanda Pallett and husband, Chris, and Melinda Rissler and husband, Mike; and five great-grandchildren, Brittany Wilkerson, Landon Rissler, Jackson Rissler, Ethan Pallett and Hailey Pallett. A funeral service will be held at Chester Baptist Church, 4317 School St., Chester, VA 23831, on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., on Sunday, October 16, 2016.
