Dane Scott Young

Dane Scott Young, 59, of Sutherland, VA, died Saturday, December 23, 2017. Scott was the former owner of Bottom Billiards in Richmond, and was currently self-employed as the owner of Sutherland Home Buyers. He was a devoted husband and father, and a man of strong faith. His family was his entire world, and being a good father was his top priority. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Welsh Young; children, Christopher Young, Grace Young, and Margaret Young; parents, William “Bill” and Phyllis Payton Young; siblings, Craig Young (Shannon), Kim Harvanek (Scotty), and Rodney Young (Kary) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Petersburg, VA. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. at Westhampton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, VA 23238. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund, P.O.
