Daniel Morrison Flippen "Danny"

Daniel M. Flippen, "Danny" 64, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017. Family and several close friends were there to comfort him during this time. He spent most years working at Flippen and Sons Sheet Metal, owned by his father. Danny was a Carpenter and a Craftsman of all trades. He is known for his contagious smile and laugh, comical abilities and often times a good party. He is preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Flippen; daughter, Tami Woodfin; granddaughter, Willow Leighann; and best friend, Charles Elliott, Sr. He is survived by his father, George Flippen (Shirley); sons Daniel Flippen Jr., George M. Flippen Sr.; brother, Kenney Flippen; sisters, Brenda Fisher (Jeff), Linda Powell; grandchildren, Ashley Flippen; George M. Flippen Jr., R.J. Heath, Bryce Woodfin, Gavin Woodfin; step children, Charles Elliott Jr., Callie Elliott; nephews, Jacob, Joey, and Jeremy Ryan; niece, Jayna Ryan; as well as numerous extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Rd., Chester, VA 23831.
