Daniel Joseph Heretick

Daniel Joseph Heretick, 57, of Chester, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018. He was born in Petersburg, VA, to the late John P. Heretick and Lillian Slagle Heretick. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Monica M. Heretick. He is survived by daughters, Ashley L. Heretick and Sarah L. Heretick; step-daughter, Stacy Marks; grandchildren, Weston McComber and Ta’Jah Marks; siblings, Deborah H. Smollich and husband, Hansel, Donna H. Lynch and husband, Michael, and J. David Heretick and wife, Rachel. Daniel was employed with AdvanSix, formerly, Allied Chemical and Honeywell, for almost 38 years. Daniel enjoyed traveling to the beach. He loved football and baseball and was a passionate VA Tech fan. Most importantly, he was an incredible father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
