Daniel Coleman Hundley, Jr., 86, of Wakefield, passed away on March 26, 2013. He was the son of the late Daniel Coleman, Sr. and Gaynelle Taylor Hundley; and was also preceded in death by his wife, Doris M. Hundley; and a sister, Beverly Orlando. Mr. Hundley retired from the Fort Lee Fire Department after 37 years of service and was also the local president of the N.A.G.E. on Fort Lee. Mr. Hundley was a United States Army Veteran and had also worked for the Petersburg Fire Department. He was a member of West End Baptist Church, Powhatan Starke #124 of A.F. & A.M., and the ACCA Shriners of Richmond. He is survived by his three daughters, Gloria Crowder, Pat Blackburn and husband, Rickey, and Lorraine Curling and husband, John and Zoe; four grandchildren, Melissa Brooks, Kymberly, Daniel and Stacey Lucas; six grandchildren, Ashley Brooks, Caleb, Logan and Jake Lucas; Ethan and Elliana Lucas-Jamason; one sister, Daire Wilkerson; very special friend, Mary Ellis; a nephew, Tony Orlando; two nieces, Gay Rudis and Jodi Denton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday in the funeral home, with the Rev. Daniel Lucas, officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA.
