Danielle Marie Jones

Danielle Marie (Harne) Jones, 49 years young, passed from this life into the presence of God on Wednesday December 16, 2015 in Richmond, Virginia after a valiant battle with cancer. Her will to live, love of her sons, and the support and prayers of her family members and friends carried her.
Danielle was born on September 22, 1966 in Hagerstown, MD., graduating from Hedgesville High School in 1984, Shepherd University in 1988, and the University of Alabama with her Master’s Degree in Accounting in 1989. Roll Tide! (She would want us to say that.) Calling Chester Virginia home for nearly 20 years, Danielle was involved in many parenting and home-school groups, as well as teaching Sunday school in her local church. Danielle is survived by her parents, Howard and Dee (Dunn) Harne of Smithsburg, MD, three sons (the loves of her life), Austin, Sam, and Palmer of Chester, VA; brother, Dwayne Harne (wife, Lisa) of Hancock, MD; and by family and friends who loved her dearly. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Wilmer and Ruth (Billy Lovejoy) Dunn and Lee and Ruth (Willard) Harne, all from Smithsburg, MD. The family will receive friends at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Chester, Virginia on Wednesday, January 6th, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A memorial service will be held on Thursday January 7th, 2016 at the Chester Church of God in Chester, Virginia at 1:00pm with the Pastor J.R. DeHart officiating. A private family interment will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, at Danielle’s request, donations may be made to the Kara Tippetts Foundation, a non- profit organization supporting families whose loved ones enter their cancer journey at stage 4.
