Darrell Lipford

Darrell Keith Lipford, Sr., 54, of Prince George passed away on Friday, June 24, 2011. He was an avid hunter and a true member of the outdoors. Darrell loved to bicycle, loved the mountains, his hunting dogs, and most of all, loved his family very much. He was the owner and operator of the Lighthouse Restaurant for 13 years and was the drummer in the James River Band. Darrell is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rita E. Lipford; sons, Darrell â??Keithâ? Lipford, Jr. and wife, Crystal and Robert Marvin â??Robbieâ? Lipford and fiancée, Megan Slaughter; god son, Gerry Minguzzi; grandchildren, Laci Faith Lipford and Tristan Allen Boettcher and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 from 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Hudnall officiating. Burial will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
