Daryl Wade Clayton

Daryl Wade Clayton, 60, of Chester passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017. Daryl was born in Hopewell and was raised in Enon, Virginia and attended Chesterfield County Public Schools. Daryl was an insulation tradesman and worked at industrial and public institutions across the state. Daryl had a free spirit and lived life to the fullest. He loved sports and watching his favorite teams whether live or on TV. Daryl followed Detroit’s professional sports teams--Lions, Tigers and Red Wings. He also enjoyed watching his favorite college team, Virginia Tech. Daryl loved music especially southern rock and attended many live music shows. Daryl also liked fishing, and going to the beach, and above all else, he loved his children. Mr. Clayton was the son of the late Daniel George, Jr. and Katy Mae Grammer Clayton. He is survived by his children, Blake Clayton (Stacy), Adam Clayton, Kaylin Casto (Todd); brothers, Dan Clayton (Julie Phares), Mike Clayton (Liz); grandchildren, Jordan Clayton, Mason Clayton; numerous other close relatives and dear friends. A memorial service will be held at 6pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
