David Lynn Barrett

David Lynn Barrett, Sr., 55, of Carson, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. He was born in Petersburg and raised in Dinwiddie County. David was preceded in death by his parents, Max Barrett and Ruth Barrett; and sister, Debbie Stewart. He is survived by his children, Kimberly Bulls and husband, Josh, Travis Barrett and girlfriend, Bethany, Kelly Barrett, and David Lynn Barrett, Jr.; brothers, Robert Barrett and wife, Christy, and James Barrett; longtime girlfriend, Kathy Riggins; 9 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a civil war buff and enjoyed rooting for his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. Most importantly David was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2018 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T.
