David Bowe

David Leroy Bowe, 68, of Hopewell passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Mr. Bowe was a longtime church member of the New Jerusalem Fellowship Church. He was an avid bass fisherman, and civil war relic hunter. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Mr. Bowe was retired from Allied Chemical/Honeywell as an electrician, and was a member of the I.B.E.W. LU. 666 for forty-four years. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Friesenhahn formerly of San Antonio, Texas. He is survived by his parents, William Bowe and Inez Starkey; his wife, Patricia Bowe; a son, Kenneth Bowe and wife Sandy; daughters, Lisa Houchins and husband Donald, Michelle Bowe; eleven grandchildren, Jake Bowe, Lance Bowe, Brandon Bowe, Chad Massey, Hailey Massey, Justin Carmichael, Jessica Houchins-Grose, Amber Sullivan, Grace Sullivan, Luke McAdams, Ryan McAdams; great-granddaughter, Briahna Bondurant; and a sister, Juanita Harris. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at the Hopewell chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2011 at the Hopewell chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Hallcom officiating.
