David C. Eddy, 58, of Prince George died Thursday, February 19, 2004 in Southside Regional Medical Center. He was born in Steubenville, OH and was the son of the late James B. and Anna Hubaker Eddy. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of Vietnam and a member of Church of the Sacred Heart, Prince George, VFW Post 10571, Prince George, National Order of the Arrow, Boy Scouts of America, Troop 912 and American Legion Post 146, Hopewell. Mr. Eddy owned his own tax accounting business. He was preceded in death by three brothers, William J. Eddy, Edward E. Eddy and James R. Eddy; and a sister, Mary E. Dalton. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Alberta J. Eddy; two sons, David A. Eddy and his wife, Justina, of Highlands Ranch, CO and Jonathan P. Eddy of Prince George; two brothers, John M. Eddy and his wife, Carol, of Steubenville, OH and Robert S. Eddy and his wife, Karolyn, of Toronto; sister, Virginia L. Maples and her husband, Mel, of Manassas, VA; two beautiful grandchildren, Daja Rae Eddy and Zane David Eddy; loving Goddaughter, Rachel Fisher; close family friend, Helen Leary; numerous nieces and nephews; and three pet cats, Nick, Lilly and Cookie. A Christian Wake will be held Monday at 7 p.m. in the Church of the Sacred Heart followed by a Mass at 7:30 p.m. with Father Jay Wagner officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in the church community center. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scouts of America, P. O. Box 6809, Richmond, VA 23230 or Church of the Sacred Heart, Building Fund, 4415 County Drive, Petersburg, VA 23805. The family is being served by J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Petersburg.
