Born in Richmond, Virginia, on September 20, 1951, David Price Brady Fall died on October 21, 2021. The son of the late Elizabeth Stambaugh Fall and Ralph Emmett Fall, he is survived by his sister Mary Druscilla Rose Fall Boswell and her husband Thomas Greenwood Orrick Boswell. David was one of the first babies born healthy to a diabetic mother, but was placed in an incubator, and received first degree burns due to overly high temperature. When he was in kindergarten, his vocabulary was tested at the ninth grade level. David began working as a teenager, and lived with his parents in Port Royal, Virginia. He later moved to Richmond, and worked for Henrico County’s Parks and Recreation for nearly 30 years. In 2015, while running, he was hit by a car. He had to move to a rehab center, but continued to impress those around him with his intelligence.
David collected coins, comics, books and miniature soldiers. He loved creating civilizations on his computer. He was Best Man at his cousin Rick Stambaugh’s wedding. He had a quick sense of humor and a phenomenal mind. He never lost a Trivial Pursuit game and could hum pieces of classical music from memory.
A service is planned in 2022. Gifts may be made to Vauter’s Church, P. O. Box 154, Champlain, VA 22438. His father was minister there, and his mother was organist. She had an ancestor who was minister there, 1745-48. His sister was married there.
