David Wesley Grissom

David Wesley Grissom, 62, of Dinwiddie, VA passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2021. David was born and raised in Dinwiddie County, and was the son of the late Perkins and Gracie Jessup Grissom; and was also preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Willis; two sisters, Marjorie Matthews and Carolyn Goff; and three brothers, James Woodrow, Bobby and Carl Grissom. David will be remembered by his family as a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He is survived by his three daughters, Patricia Morris, Cynthia Willis (Jasper) and Brenda Grissom (Wayne); his loving nephew, Rodney Grissom; devoted friend, Kathy Sheffield; eleven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; four sisters, Margaret Cleaton (Walter), Gracie Hite, Jane Grubb (Ron) and Brenda Cox (Bubba); two brothers, Harry Grissom and Ricky Grissom (Vanita); and many nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 26, 2021 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Asbury Memorial Cemetery, McKenney, VA.
