David Russell Hawkins Jr.

David R. Hawkins, Jr., 46, of Colonial Heights, VA, passed away on February 19, 2019. He is survived by his daughters, Brittany Robinette and her husband, Cody, and Melanie Hawkins and her significant other, Austin Groves; granddaughters, Scarlette Robinette and Lillian Robinette; sister, Sandra Hunt and her husband, Brett; niece, Mara Hunt; nephews, Caleb Hunt and Joshua Hunt; mother, Andrea Stables; father, David Hawkins, Sr. and his wife, Robin, and her sons, Alex Cox and Alvin “AZ” Cox. David was born into a military family and moved often. He was a graduate of Prince George High School. He was employed with Filtrona Richmond as a Fixer. In his spare time he enjoyed working on his cars and stirring up a good debate. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T.
