David Martin Hippchen

Hippchen, David Martin, 58, of Chester, Virginia, departed this life after a courageous battle with lung cancer, Friday, August 16, 2013, surrounded by family. Born in Athens, GA he was the son to the late Leonard Hippchen. David is survived by his wife of 37 years Kim J. Hippchen; mother, June; daughter Katharine; son, Michael; brother, Mark and wife, Vicki; sister Patricia and husband, Jim; grandson, Ralph David, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. David, former president of the Virginia Chapter of Certified Public Accountants, was the owner and president of David M. Hippchen, CPA in Chester, VA. David was an avid sport enthusiast, and was an active member of the Baha’i faith and held numerous leadership positions within the Greater Richmond Baha’i Community. A graveside service will be held at Westhampton Memorial Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2013. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity or faith group of your choice.
