David Jr. Poole

David Whitfield Poole, Jr., age 60, of Jarratt, VA, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2010. He was born in Radford, VA, the son of David W., Sr. and Charlotte Winfield Poole. Mr. Poole was preceded in death by his grandparents Lottie and Gordon Winfield and Idora and John Wesley Poole. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying turkey and deer hunting, and fishing. Mr. Poole was retired from Dominion Resources after 26 dedicated years of service. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Surviving family include his loving wife, Pat Poole; daughter, Kerri Jenkins; granddaughter Courtney Keeter and grandson Logan Keeter; sister, Cheryl Umbach and husband, Art; brother, Stephen Poole; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 4 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at 12 p.m. in the Winfield Family Cemetery on Hwy. 40, Stony Creek, VA.
