David Homer Lewis

SFC David H. Lewis (Ret.), 68, of Chester, VA passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Born on June 29, 1950 in Etsy, West Virginia he was the son of the late Lacy Marvin and Eula Gladys Lewis; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Aaron Don Lewis. Mr. Lewis retired from the United States Army and then went on to retire from the City of Petersburg as a Deputy Sheriff. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Dagmar R. Lewis; two daughters, Deleath A. Lewis and Stephanie M. Lewis and fiancée, Matthew W. Cooke; siblings, Ronal Lewis (Anita), Deleath Funk (Joe), Otis Lewis (Wildie) and Hilton Lewis (Donna); his mother-in-law, Margarete Green; special daughter, Shanesa Carrera and fiancée, Dakota Seymore and their children, Emmye and Ryker; and many nieces and nephews.
