David Michael Shea

David Michael Shea, 76, of Petersburg, passed away on November 9, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, John R. Shea; mother, Lillian "Bobbie" Shea; father-in-law, William A. McDaniel; and brothers-in-law, Gordon L. McDaniel and Emmett A. Welch II.

David is survived by his loving wife of 47 years and 10 months, Wanda K. Shea; sister, Deborah S. Welch; mother-in-law, Sharon M. McDaniel; brother-in-law, Greg McDaniel; sisters-in-law, Denise M. Moore (Donnie) and Sandy T. McDaniel; niece, Megan Minter (Zack); nephews, Justin T. McDaniel, Zane Moore, and Mitchell Moore; great-nieces, Amelia and Savannah; great-nephew, Carter; and lifelong friends, Mike and Maryclare Poprik.

David lived around the world but came to Virginia in the late 1960s. He worked at Ft. Lee, then for Southside Candy Co. for 30 years. In his free time, he enjoyed doing artwork and reading comics.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, Petersburg.
