David Lee Spradlin

David Lee Spradlin, 79, of Chesterfield died Tuesday, October 6, 2015. He was predeceased by his parents Hubert L. and Fannie Spradlin, brother Hubert L. Spradlin, Jr.”Buddy” and sisters Janie Aesy, Katie Dickens, Helen Nelson, Hazel Sanders and Edna St. Clair. He served his country proudly in the Marine Corps and grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains where he loved hunting and fishing. He is survived by his son, Earl D. Spradlin (Rose); two daughters, Linda S. Norris (Butch) and Elizabeth S. “Libby” Crawley (Lynn); step-son, Dave Lehew and his family; seven grandchildren, Josh Crawley (Elizabeth), Brandon Crawley (Amanda), Tonya Sadler (Lester), Clifton Long, Christopher Long (Bryanna), Christina Heath (Kevin) and Matthew Spradlin (Beth); seven great-grandchildren, Hailey, Zoe, Riley, Matthew, Colby, Brantley and Reed; sister, Agnes Chaves; numerous nieces and nephews who loved and cherished their uncle; and extended family and friends. Family and friends are welcome in memory of our father on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 2-4 pm at the Crawley residence 13700 Branders Bridge Road, Chester, VA 23831. A memorial service will be conducted 2 :00 pm October 17, 2015 in Jeters Chapel, 5288 Jeters Chapel Road, Vinton, VA 24179.
