David Cameron Valley, 36, of Chester, Virginia passed away on Monday, January 26, 2009. Mr. Valleyâ??s death was the result of a lengthy, but valiant and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Falmouth, Massachusetts and was preceded in death by his grandfather Charles Harding. He was a veteran of both Gulf Wars, serving his country in the U.S. Navy from 1990-1996. Mr. Valley was employed with Verizon Telecommunications for 12 years, recently serving as a Technical Sales Manager. He was a loving husband and father, as well as an avid Red Sox fan and golfer. Mr. Valley is survived by his wife of 8 years, Tara L. Valley; two daughters, Madison G. and Camryn L. Valley; parents, David A. and Linda L. Valley; grandparents, Grace Harding and D. Preston and Lorraine Valley; brother, Stephen C. Valley; and half-sisters, Melissa Bailey and Cheryl Churchill. A memorial service will be held at the Chester United Methodist Church, Chester, VA, on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. with a visitation and reception following.
