David Edward Watts, a proud veteran of the Marine Corps, passed away Monday, August 12,
2024. The son of Gregory Dee Watts and Lydia Marie Snyder, Dave was born in Ogden, Utah on
October 2, 1970 and grew up in Titusville, Florida. Dave was a graduate of Astronaut High
School, Class of 1989, in Titusville, Florida.
Right after graduating from high school, at age eighteen, Dave enlisted in the Marine Corps,
serving six years. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Corporal. Dave served in the USMC Reconnaissance Division, and as a part of his military service, received a primary
specialty as an Organizational Automotive Mechanic. Some of his military service accolades include: National Defense Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with One Oak Leaf Cluster, Southwest Asia Service Medal, and a Letter of Appreciation, just to name a few.
Dave's greatest desire was to serve God, his family, his country, and his community. He
accomplished this by being the Commander of the American Legion, Post 22, in Cocoa, Florida
from 2019-2021. Dave also established his own non-profit organization called Veterans Give.

David Edward Watts is survived by his wife, Kristi Simmons; two sons, Blake Watts and Jacob Watts; brothers, Robert Snyder and Wallace Watts; and mother, Lydia Snyder.
A Celebration of Life Service honoring the life of David Edward Watts will be announced at a
later date.
