David Lee White

David Lee White, 61, of Topping, VA, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at his brother's residence in Hopewell, VA. Born on March 3, 1953 in Petersburg, VA, he was preceded in death by his parent's William Lee White and Mary Jane McAllister White, and his brother Robert Lawrence White. David worked with several trucking companies in the local area. He is survived by his brothers William Jeffery White (Caroline) and Bernard Marvin Phillips Jr. (JoAnne); nieces, Mary Ellen Irvin (Craig), Sharon Scott (Jody), Sarah Hudson (Justin) and Crystal Hashley (Jason), nephews, Alan Phillips (Anne) and Michael Phillips (Ashley); and several great nephews and nieces; close friends Donnie and Sherry Bryant, who he lived with for 25 years; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
