Dawson Wayne Hendricks, 3, of Amelia Court House, Virginia, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024. Born in Midlothian, Virginia, he is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Annie Ruth and William Haydt, Faye Myers, and Lewis and Linda Wheeler; and by one great-aunt, Cynthia Haydt.
Our sweet boy adored his momma, daddy, and sissy. Dawson loved playing with his cousins, Mickey Mouse, the color blue, jumping on his couch, golf cart rides, camping, playing outside, and working in the garage with his daddy. He was a tiny tornado that brought a little bit of chaos and a whole lot of sunshine wherever he went. Dawson was happiest hanging from his momma's or daddy's back with no shoes and swinging on his swing set. We love Dawson with all our hearts and will miss him desperately, but we take comfort in knowing that he is running and jumping in heaven, surrounded by all his great-grandparents, with unlimited blue lollipops and popsicles.
Dawson is survived by his momma and daddy, Caitlin and Jesse Hendricks; his sissy, Collyns Hendricks; grandpa, Lewis Hendricks; nana, Terri Adkins; mimi and granddaddy, Rebecca and Bryant Haydt; aunts and uncles, Whitney and Jac Crawley, Hunter and Stephanie Haydt, and Logan Haydt; and five cousins, Brant, Emrie, Grace, Jax, and Slate. Dawson also leaves to cherish his memory, many great-aunts and uncles, second and third cousins, and friends that he loved spending time with.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George, Virginia. The famly will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
