Dean Parson Crowder, 79, a lifelong resident of Dinwiddie County and widow of Charles C. â??Cutterâ? Crowder, passed away Monday, March 05, 2007. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Linda Lufsey Parson. Mrs. Crowder was a longtime active member of Matoaca Baptist Church having many years of perfect attendance. She served as Secretary of her Sunday school class and served on the library committee at the church. She is survived by her children, William â??Billâ? Crowder and wife, Sharon of Sutherland, Cheryl Rose and husband, Jeff, and Kathy Summerson all of Prince George, and Charles Crowder and wife, Debbie of Sutherland; grandchildren, Barbara Crowder-Moore, Jennifer Crowder, Natalie Rose, Jaime Maitland, Courtney Randolph, Brooke Crowder, and Hunter Crowder; six great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby Reese of Dinwiddie; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday, March 7, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with the Rev. Donald Joyner officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Matoaca Baptist Church Building Fund, 6409 River Road, Matoaca, VA 23803. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
