Deborah Kaye Creech

Deborah Kaye Creech, 66, of Dinwiddie, VA, died on August 26, 2022. She was the daughter of E. Mae Staples Watson and the late Jack B. Staples, Sr., and she was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Billy Creech, Sr; sister, Diane Staples Crites; brother, Jack Staples, Jr.; and good friend, Bobby Hardy. Along with her mother, Debby is survived by her husband of 49 years, Billy Ray Creech, Jr.; sons, Billy Ray "Trey" Creech (Angie), Jason Creech (Brandy Taylor), Jesse Creech (Laurin); 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; stepfather, Carol Watson; mother-in-law, Joan M. Creech; sisters, Donna Spencer (James), Karen Lambert (Lamar); brothers-in-law, David Creech (Karen), Bobby Creech (Debra); and sister-in-law, Traci Creech-Coleman.
She was a "domestic princess" and a proud member of Central Baptist Church. Debby loved doing things at church, spending time with her grandchildren, and working in her garden and sailing. She also loved the beach, her dogs and cats and music of all kinds, especially her favorite band, Lynyrd Skynyrd.
The family will receive friends at Central Baptist Church on Friday, September 2, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am at the church. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project in Debby's name.
