Deborah Harris Riddle

Deborah “Debbie” Harris Riddle, 66, of Hopewell, VA passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018. Born in Fort Lee, VA she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Topian Harris; and was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, James D. Riddle. Debbie retired from the Hopewell City Schools system after many years of faithful service. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother or “E-Maw”. Her grandchildren were the shining light in her life, Debbie loved to spend time with her family and friends; she will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her. Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Danny Riddle; her daughter, Stefanie Riddle Neal and husband, James D. Neal III; her son, Jimmy C. Riddle and wife “second daughter”, Michele Harris Riddle; grandchildren, Travis and Trevor Riddle, Abagail and Ella Neal; her brothers, Fred Harris and wife, Karen; Ricky Harris and wife, Carol; her sister, Kathy Sutphin and husband, David; her sister-in-laws, Susan Bishop and husband, Casey; Diane Edwards and husband, Aubrey; her mother-in-law, Mary “MeMe” Hope; her lifelong best friend, Debby Thompson; as well as numerous extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 at J.T. Morriss & Son Hopewell Chapel 820 W. Broadway Ave. Hopewell, VA 23860.
