Deborah Grace Roben, 44, of Chester, VA passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Born in Prince Georges County, MD she was preceded in death by a son, Zechariah Daniel Roben. Debbie bravely fought an epic battle against ovarian cancer for the past three years – a true warrior, indeed. She was the best friend a sister could ever ask for and a sister to her friends, the kind of daughter that makes parents proud and look forward to grandchildren, a devoted wife, and a doting mother of three beautiful young children. Debbie touched many hearts in her short time with us - ever active in fundraising, community service, and providing strong moral leadership with a heart of acceptance. Her beautiful memory will be cherished by colleagues, friends, and family alike for many years to come. Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Marc D. Roben; three children, Kaylah Grace, Jayson Tennyson and Ashleigh Emersyn Roben; her mother, Sharon Grace Dixon; her father, Robert Tennyson Dixon (Johnni Boos); a sister, Dawn Marie Mooney; mother in-law, Ellen Gall (Joe Penchansky); three sisters-in-law, Michelle Mullen (Jim), Reva Abrahams (Avigdor) and Rose Penchansky (Sasha); and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2018 in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
