Debra Lea Dejewski

Debra Lea Dejewski, 67, of Sutherland, passed away at her home surrounded by her husband and children on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. Born in Roanoke, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Harvey Anderson and Marguerite Hall Harvey. Debbie was a U.S. Army wife and mother. She loved her cats and enjoyed being an active volunteer cat rescuer. She was the glue that kept things together and was the true heart and soul of her family. She will be missed dearly. Debbie is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, John M. Dejewski; daughter, Renee Dejewski- Stershic; son, Ryan Dejewski; grandson, Jack Stershic; step-grandchildren, Jessica, Robert, III., and Samantha; brother, Charles Anderson and his wife, Martha; niece, Laura Knight; nephews, Greg Anderson and Stephen Anderson. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2019 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to your local SPCA.
