Debra Lynn George

Debra “Debbie” George, age 58, of Petersburg, Virginia, entered into eternal peace on June 4, 2021. Debbie was born to James Edward Smith and Jeannette Lewis Smith on August 21, 1962. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeannette; and daughter, Rachel Bocock. Debbie is survived by her father and stepmother, James and Karen Smith of Chester, Virginia; her daughter, Haley George of Suffolk, Virginia; and special friend, Corey Pleasants of Petersburg, Virginia. She is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Debbie had a special love for all of God’s creatures, especially her “fur babies”, Murk, Ginger, and Red. A gathering of farewell to Debbie will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 103 S. Adams St. Petersburg, VA 23803.
