Delores Maria Mosby

Delores Maria Mosby, 62, of Chesterfield, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021. She was preceded in death by her father, John Marshburn; and grandmother, Adelaide Mashburn. She is survived by her beloved husband, Tyrone Mosby; children, Micheal Mosby, Tyrone V. Mosby, and Tianna Mosby; sisters, Patricia Travers, Debbie Mashburn, and JoAnn Perry; brothers, Kevin Mashburn and John Mashburn; and her mother, Delores Mashburn.

In 1996, Delores Mosby achieved her Master’s Degree in Education. For several years she was a Teacher in the New York City Public Schools System. In 2003 she moved to Virginia where she taught at GH Reid Elementary School as a Teacher and later as an Instructional Assistant. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, making music CDs, swimming in the pool, and watching her favorite television shows, Law & Order and Young & the Restless. She especially enjoyed going out to eat at her favorite restaurants, IHOP and Outback. When she could she’d try her luck at the slot machines in the casinos at Atlantic City. She is an inspiration to her community and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The service will be live streamed on Facebook at www.facebook.com/staugustinerva . Interment will be held at a later date in Rockville Cemetery, New York.
