Delores Ann Wray Pollard, 82, of Matoaca, VA passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021. Born in Petersburg, VA she was the daughter of the late William Herbert and Mary Lou Wray; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Pollard, Sr.; a daughter, Donna Pollard Poole; one son, Hebert Keith Pollard; four sisters, Myrtle W. Warren, Etta W. Allen, Gladys W. Smith and Nancy W. Queen; and a brother, Herbert “Sonny Boy” Wray. Mrs. Pollard had retired from Brown and Williamson Tobacco and Wythe/Robbins Pharmaceuticals as a machine operator after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, spending time with her family and attending birthday lunches. She will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother. Ann is survived by her two children, Debra Pollard Dodd and Raymond “Bubba” Eugene Pollard, Jr. (Christina); grandchildren, Tara L. Boyle, Lindsay P. Eddins (David) and Steven E. Pollard; great-grandchildren, Brittany Boyle Jones, Natalee Thomas, Jayden Dolan, Alexus, Emmie Lou and Dennie Mae Eddins, Stevie Ann, Owen, Cameron, Fisher and Kendall Pollard; great-great-grandchildren, Kambree and Karsyn; a sister, Flossie H. Wright; her devoted fur baby, Roxy; fur grandbabies, Abby and Bo; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at, At Home Care Hospice for their care and support, and to Rhonda Belcher. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve King, officiating.
