Delroy Kint Rinehart, 81, of Chester, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014. Born in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Dwight Scott and Thelma Grace Kint Rinehart. Mr. Rinehart graduated from Penn State University in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a member of Pi Tau Sigma, an Honorary engineering fraternity. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. Mr. Rinehart was manager of Engineering at Zeiss Optical in Petersburg having retired in 1998. He is survived by his loving and very devoted wife of 59 ½ years who unconditionally stayed by his side and supported him thoughout his entire illness, Helen Rinehart; two sons, Steven Rinehart and his wife, Karen, and Kenneth Rinehart; sister, Linda Heavner and her husband, George; brother, Stanley Rinehart and his wife, JoAnn. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
