Dennis Charles Bickings

Dennis Charles Bickings, 63, of Hopewell, VA, passed away, Tuesday, August 15, 2017 due to health complications at the Medical College of Virginia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles G. Bickings and Lucille Wyatt Bickings. He is survived by his son, Jason Bickings, of Santa Anna, CA; sisters, Kay Bickings, of Hopewell, VA, and Jeanette Stewart and husband Frank, of Spotsylvania, VA; nephew, Charles Stewart, of Fredericksburg, VA; close friends, Buddy Keener, Pat Sharp, and Junie Treaster, and a cousin, David McLauchlin, all of Hopewell, VA; as well as, numerous extended family and friends. The family will receive friends, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 18, 2017 at J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 820 W. Broadway Hopewell, VA. A funeral service will be held, 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T Morriss & Son Funeral Home with interment to follow in Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg, VA. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Kevin Keller of PartnerMD, the staff at VCU-Medical College of Virginia and Advance Care staff members for the compassionate and loving care provided to Dennis over the years.
