Dennis Poole

Dennis â??Samâ? Ward Poole, age 63, of Chesterfield, VA, died on Saturday, November 29, 2008. He was born in Flint, MI, on May 11, 1945, the son of the late Nolan W. Poole and Helen Marie Yurk. Mr. Poole was retired from the U. S. Army as an SSGE6 after 20 years of service and from Brinks Inc. as an ATM supervisor after 11 years of service. He also drove a school bus for 3 plus years for Chesterfield County. Mr. Poole is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Vicki K. Poole; 4 children, Amanda L. Poole of Chesterfield, Dennis Poole, II of Davison, MI, Kimberly K. Cox and husband, Todd of Kingsley, MI, and Leonard E. H. Poole and wife, Stephanie of Grand Rapids, MI; seven grandchildren, Kevin, Katrina, Logan, and Lacie Poole, Billy and Jamie Cox, and Zach Poole; one grandchild expected soon, Ian Cox; two great-grandchildren; a twin sister, Susan M. Pellow and husband, Jim of Davison, MI; two half brothers, Chris Poole and wife, Susan of El Paso, TX, and Rusty Holdridge and wife, Laura of Brokenridge, OK; and nieces, Tami Alexander, and Cindy Allen, both of Grand Rapids, MI. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, December 4, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
