Dennis Wayne Stout, 72, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Alice Stout; his sisters, Frances Perkinson and Louise Grammer; and his brothers, Butch Stout, Charles Stout, Jr., and Roy Stout.

Dennis was employed by VDOT, where he worked his way up to becoming a supervisor before retiring after 31 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. Dennis was also a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, come December 24, 2024, they would have celebrated 51 years, Shelia Stout; daughter, Kristi Alberico (Joseph); grandchildren, Addisyn, JoJo, and Salvatore; brother, Robert Stout; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and best friends, Debbie Haislip, Steve Selden, and David Bates.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 6616 Boydton Plank Road, Dinwiddie. A memorial service will be held at the Dinwiddie Chapel, on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
