Deolinda Sholar

Deolinda Benevides Sholar, age 83, of Chesterfield, VA, died Sunday, August 5, 2007. She was born in Fall River, MA., the daughter of Manuel Benevides and Caroline Furtado. Deolinda was a life-long devoted Catholic, and was preceded in death by her husband Elbert P. Sholar. She is survived by her children Claudia Ann Van Zandt, of Pottstown, PA; Patricia Diane Freund, of Pompano Beach, FL; Donna Marie Kenestrick, of Durham, NC; Elbert Frank Sholar M.D., of Richmond, VA; grand-children Christopher Daniel Kenestrick, Travis Lee Van Zandt, and Gwyneth DeAnne Sholar; and sister Adeline Braga, of Fall River, MA. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will follow there on Thursday, August 9 at 10 a.m. with internment in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
