Dian Hart Rankin

Dian Hart Rankin, 63 of Chesterfield, departed this life on December 6, 2013 after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. She was born in Victoria, VA and the daughter of the late James M. Hart and the late Beatrice W. Witherspoon. Mrs. Rankin was a 1968 graduate of Meadowbrook High School and a retired employee from Philip Morris USA. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 33 years Patrick Michael “Mike” Rankin, her son Todd DuVal and his wife Tammy, her daughter Courtney DuVal Deal and her husband George. Affectionately known as “Bam” to her cherished “grandbabies” Taylor Patterson, Victoria “Tori” DuVal, Hunter Deal, and Charlotte Deal, her beloved brothers and sisters Robert Hart (Ree), James Hart Jr. (Becky), Pat Baker (Bruce), Sandra Skeen, and Steve Hart (Katie), as well as 12 nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the funeral home, with Reverend Bob Knox officiating. The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, please send donations in Dian’s name to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the American Lung Association.
