Dolores Wayne Dunbar

Dolores (Dee) Wayne Dunbar, 77, of Prince George, VA, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. Born in Hopewell, VA, she was the daughter of the late Anson Elwood Dunbar, Sr. and Mildred Irene Bogle Dunbar; and was also preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Anson Jr., Carl, and William Dunbar; and two sisters, Margie Dowd and Joan Kwosek. Dolores retired from Honeywell as a Machine Operator after 30 plus years of dedicated service. She enjoyed going to auctions and was the primary caretaker for her mother for over 20 years. Ms. Dunbar will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted daughter, sister, and aunt. She is survived by her three siblings, Linda Marsh, David Dunbar (Ora), and Patricia Creech; her sister-in-law, Barbara Dunbar; a brother-in-law, Daniel Dowd, Sr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. All services will be private. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in memory of Dolores Dunbar.
